Melomania isn’t a project — it’s a state of being. A collective urge that grinds, rolls, and bites.

Saxophone, piano, bass, and drums lock into a single body that would rather groove than explain. Initiated by Michael Seyfried, but long since out of control.

Worlds don’t politely collide here — they rub against each other: Brazilian heat, Eastern European angularity, Styrian saxophone “pumpkin seed oil,” and Viennese suburban harmony pulling everything tight. No folklore, no crossover clichés — more like a sound constantly on the verge of breaking loose.

The pieces grow from the inside out: riffs, tensions, and loops that build, snag, and release. Sometimes tight as a fist, sometimes open like a crack in the asphalt. Harmonies are allowed to tilt. Grooves are allowed to shove. Melodies surface — and vanish again.
